The event consists of one week of practice sessions followed by one week of racing. It has been a tradition, perhaps started by racing competitors in the early s, for spectators to tour the Snaefell Mountain Course on motorcycles during the Isle of Man TT on " Mad Sunday ", an informal and unofficial sanctioned event held on the Sunday between 'Practice Week' and 'Race Week'. The race programme developed from a single race with two classes for the Isle of Man TT, expanding in to two individual races for the cc Junior TT motor-cycles and the Blue Riband event the cc Senior TT race. The race did not take place from to due to the First World War. It resumed in Following safety concerns with the Snaefell Mountain Course and problems over inadequate 'start-money' for competitors, there was a boycott of the Isle of Man TT races from the early s by many of the leading competitors, motorcycle manufacturers and national motorcycle sporting federations.
Forty-years old mechanic from Castro Bergamo , Stefano is 4 times European Hillclimb Champion and 11 times Italian Hillclimb Champion ; he won IRRC races Frohburg with Paton , he stood on the podium at the North West in before being moved back in 5th position because of some chronometric problems and he was invited to the prestigious Macau GP in the same year, despite not ending the Chinese experience very well. I was in Macau when Stefano crashed and I can assure you that coming back physically and mentally after an injury like that is something just not for everybody. In , instead, he brought a private Paton to the 5th position in the Race. He will ride at the TT with the same bike alongside the beautiful Paton S1, this time with really high expectations. Everything to be decided in the next weeks. Sito web. Aggiungi ai preferiti : permalink.

The Blue Riband event of the TT Race week the Senior TT run over a reduced race distance after the race was red-flagged on lap 3 after an incident at Ballagarey on the TT Course involving Guy Martin and caused a number of protective hay-bails to be set alight. Fastest time in the Lightweight class was an average speed of Despite setting fast-time in practice and storming into the lead on lap 1, Roy Richardson slipped-off at Church Bends on lap 2 in the difficult conditions. This allowed local competitor and TT winner Chris Palmer to win in 19 minutes and The first practice session for Isle of Man TT races was due to feature an evening untimed practice session and a Newcomers control lap on Saturday 29 May Due to inclement weather conditions including light rain and low cloud on the Mountain Section of the course , the untimed session was cancelled by the Race organisers and only the TT Newcomers completed their speed control lap. The schedule will see a week of evening practices starting on Saturday 30th May and concluding on Friday 5th of June. The first race day will be the 6th June and sees the first three-lap sidecar race and the thrilling Superbike TT race over six laps. The most useful bus route for accessing vantage points around the course is the number 5 bus.
